4 Ways to Boost Traffic to a New Blog
“How can I bring more traffic to my blog?”, the thought that
goes on in every blogger’s mind every second of every day. New bloggers
specially face this problem since they are new to the field and don’t have any
experience or a reputation. So how do you get more traffic to your blog without
spending a dime on blogging (This article is written for newbies and for those don’t
have much traffic from search engines (Below 1000 page views per day)).
1 1) Market your Blog on Social Media
Bringing in a decent traffic from search engines like Bing and Google is
near impossible for new blogs that is not older than 6 months at least. So we
must divert our attention to the next biggest source of traffic, Social Media.
To bring in more traffic from facebook, twitter and Google+ you have to first
establish yourself as a bit popular personnel. To do that you need to have a
lot of friends and followers and market every post you write with a catchy
title and helpful content and if you are lucky your reader might share and
spread the word. (Google+ is recommended because I have a hunch that google
sends more search traffic to sites that are popular in Google+ (from
experience) and please refrain from spamming because the short traffic burst is
not worth the risk)
2) Comment on related blog and forum threads
This method also can bring in you a decent amount of traffic but for this
to work effectively you got to write attractive and helpful comment or answers
which will make the reader come to your blog. Refrain from spamming guys and
you will see a definite increase in your traffic stats.
3 3) Guest Blog
Write good and quality guest posts
on popular blogs to establish yourself as good and reputed author. Leave a link
back to your blog from that post and if you have written good content you will
see a definite increase in your traffic as those articles will have much higher
exposure to search engines.
4) Maintain a News Letter
Maintaining a good newsletter will increase your returning visitors so
you won’t need a high page rank to bring in traffic. This is a good strategy
since you can gradually increase your list of subscribers and increase the
potential viewers of your blog and returning visitors really like to share what
they read. But make sure to write quality content to keep your subscribers
happy and do not under any circumstances spam them. Sending them a good newsletter
once a week proved to be the best scenario in my case as my readers (Typically
bloggers) are very busy.
That’s
it for this post if you have any suggestions let me know in the comments
section. Please

How to Add Advertisements to Your
Blogger/BlogSpot Blog and Earn Money
You have a created a
blogspot/blogger blog and written quality content that brings in 1000s of
visitors every day. But one day you wondered “how can I make money from
blogging?” Well fear not my friends because I am going to teach you how to do
it.
When it comes to the art of making money through blogging the
field is extremely large that I can go on hours and hours about it, but as a
starting point I chose advertising as the starting point of my lesson to you. Advertising
also divides into many parts so I chose to show you how to add banner advertising
to your blogspot/blogger blog.
First of all you should select an
advertising network to work with. There are many choices but I suggest you keep
to old and well established ad networks to save yourself from scams. Adsense is
the best choice for CPC (Cost per click) since it has many advertisers and high
quality ads but the only con is it is hard to get approved (Specially for
indian bloggers) and you are banned easily if you make a mistake or violate the
terms. But if that does happen many alternatives like RevenueHits (Accepts
every blog but in some countries the ads are not that good), Tribal Fusion (You
have to get at least 500,000 visitors every month but it is the best CPM ad
network and my ultimate goal) and Technorati Media (Easy to get approved CPM
network).
If
you get approved into adsense the implementation of ads easy. Just go into the
Layout panel and press “Add A Gadget” link on any position you like and on the
small windows select the Adsense Gadget and customize it however you want and
press Save and then you will see adsense ads appearing after a day or two. Then
for every click you get from visitors will earn you money so make sure you test
out ad positions and see which positions bring in the most money (Make sure you
read all the terms and conditions of adsense because you will easily get banned
for violating even a small term and trust me I’m telling this from experience).
But if you decide to try out a different
ad network like Tribal Fusion or Revenue Hits the implementation is also very
easy. After you get your code from RevenueHits or Tribal fusion etc. (Usually a
Javascript or HTML code) copy it and then you have to add a HTML/JavaScript
Gadget to the position you like on your blog. In the content area paste the
code and hit save.
Using the HTML/JavaScript Gadget you can
add ads like banners, popups, popunders and text ads etc. to your blog easily.
You can even add a Subscribe popup to your blog by creating a JavaScript.
