4 Ways to Boost Traffic to a New Blog
7:47:00 AM4 Ways to Boost Traffic to a New Blog
“How can I bring more traffic to my blog?”, the thought that
goes on in every blogger’s mind every second of every day. New bloggers
specially face this problem since they are new to the field and don’t have any
experience or a reputation. So how do you get more traffic to your blog without
spending a dime on blogging (This article is written for newbies and for those don’t
have much traffic from search engines (Below 1000 page views per day)).
1 1) Market your Blog on Social Media
Bringing in a decent traffic from search engines like Bing and Google is
near impossible for new blogs that is not older than 6 months at least. So we
must divert our attention to the next biggest source of traffic, Social Media.
To bring in more traffic from facebook, twitter and Google+ you have to first
establish yourself as a bit popular personnel. To do that you need to have a
lot of friends and followers and market every post you write with a catchy
title and helpful content and if you are lucky your reader might share and
spread the word. (Google+ is recommended because I have a hunch that google
sends more search traffic to sites that are popular in Google+ (from
experience) and please refrain from spamming because the short traffic burst is
not worth the risk)
2) Comment on related blog and forum threads
This method also can bring in you a decent amount of traffic but for this
to work effectively you got to write attractive and helpful comment or answers
which will make the reader come to your blog. Refrain from spamming guys and
you will see a definite increase in your traffic stats.
3 3) Guest Blog
Write good and quality guest posts
on popular blogs to establish yourself as good and reputed author. Leave a link
back to your blog from that post and if you have written good content you will
see a definite increase in your traffic as those articles will have much higher
exposure to search engines.
4) Maintain a News Letter
Maintaining a good newsletter will increase your returning visitors so
you won’t need a high page rank to bring in traffic. This is a good strategy
since you can gradually increase your list of subscribers and increase the
potential viewers of your blog and returning visitors really like to share what
they read. But make sure to write quality content to keep your subscribers
happy and do not under any circumstances spam them. Sending them a good newsletter
once a week proved to be the best scenario in my case as my readers (Typically
bloggers) are very busy.
