How to make Money with your Blog
Making money is almost every bloggers dream. If you
are reading this post that mean it is your dream too. Well there are many
methods you can make money with a blog. In fact there is so many ways I think
of new ways and possibilities every day. If you have blogged for at least a few
days you know what I am telling is true. So back to the question how to make
money with my blog?
Before I answer your question let me tell a few
important details. First of all monetization, the term you must have heard of
if you were searching for ways to make money by blogging. Well my friend
monetization is a very simple thing. Monetization of a blog means how you make
money from your blog. If you add ads to your blog that can be also said as you
monetized your blog with ads. See that is very easy right.
Now on to our
question again. The simplest and first answer I have is ads. Yes, ads my friend
it is the most popular and easiest way to make money with your blog. But the
topic of ads is vast since there are many ad networks and ad types to consider
about. But the most popular is adsense, the google owned advertisement network
that everyone has used. Adsense has many types like Display ads, Text Ads,
Ad Link Units, Video Ads, Mobile Ads and Feed Ads etc. They also pay you
according to CPC (Cost per Click) or CPM (Cost per Mile). If you choose adsense
be aware though it is very to get banned from them, so I suggest chitika and
revenuehits but their ad quality is somewhat low (Most of the time I see “download
this” ads from chitika and revenuehits but it may be because I’m from Sri Lanka).
Other than ads for cpc and cpm you can
make much more money with affiliate. The only drawback is you won’t even make a
dime, but if you manage to send them a buying customer you will earn between
5%-20% for the typical product and sometimes you even get up to 75% with some
advertisers. For example if one of your readers buy a $100 product and your
commission is 10% you get 10$. Pretty cool huh, well this is the method most
people use these days because ad blocking software is on the rise. Amazon
affiliate is the best affiliate programme I know and it has some good reviews
(Sorry folks at the time of writing I haven’t tried amazon but will try and
give you an update).
Sponsored content can also be taken as a sort
of ads. In this ad type you promote a particular article and once they are
clicked you will get paid. Taboola is the best choice but it is really hard to
get into so if you cannot get in to taboola Content.ads is the best choice
as they select any small publisher.
‘In text’ advertising is also a good choice.
In ‘in text’ advertisement certain keywords in your content is selected and
highlighted and once they are clicked your visitor will be directed to the
advertisers site. This system is a must as you can make the most out of your
blog’s traffic. Infolinks is the best in ‘in text’ advertising but some sites
are not approved so if you are not approved try Viglink (I had a hard time
earning from viglink but they are kind of like an affiliate programme so your
earnings will boost if you managed to send a visitor that will buy something)
because you will be definitely selected for viglink. (Currently this blog wasn’t
taken into the infolinks network but you can visit my other blog
techguys21st.blogspot.com to see the “in text” ads and few other ad formats
they use and trust me infolinks is the best.)
Referral systems can also help
you multiply your earnings very fast. This system has a little bit of twist
than normal methods. You make money by referring others to services
(Advertisement networks, survey sites) you use. For example if you sign up for
infolinks under my account I will receive a 10% of your income for 12 month.
Cool right, with this method you can make a great passive income for yourself
by referring people to services and earning a percentage of their income. Many
services have this option and which you can use to start making money. (Note:
Make sure recommend services you have used yourself and you felt satisfactory
and by doing that you will keep the trust of your readers.)
You
can also sell your own product to your products to your readers. For example
you could write a ebook and recommend it to your readers to buy. This is the
method used by many big publishers as this brings them 100% revenue of the
product they sell when compared to affiliate marketing.
These
methods are just a few of the many methods there are so keep experimenting with
the many money making systems you can find to find a system that you like and
love and hopefully make you a billionaire.
